On April 12, 2026, the Wuhan University selection competition for the 2026 National University Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition (Business Simulation Track) concluded successfully. This event was organized by Wuhan University Undergraduate College, hosted by the World Economy Department of Economics and Management School and the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Centerfor Economics and Management (Wuhan University), and co-organized by Wuhan University YiLe Club (Student). It attracted 14 teams with 70 participants from across the university.

The competition closely aligns with the national strategy for high-quality foreign trade development, simulating real cross-border procurement negotiation scenarios. Participating teams, acting as simulated exporters, focused on designated daily consumer goods and electronic products export commodities, completing four tasks: foreign trade exhibition business plan, booth poster design and product display, new product launch conference, and business matching trade negotiations. This comprehensively assessed students' integrated capabilities in international trade business operations, exhibition planning, product launches,and business negotiations.

During the product launch conference, Li Kai, Deputy Head of the World Economy Department of Wuhan University Economics and Management School, Zhou Weidi, Professor from Central China Normal University School of Economics and Business Management, and Fu Shuke, Vice Dean of Wuhan University of Engineering Law and Business School served as judges. For the business negotiation conference, Cheng Cui, Board Director and General Manager of Kingsstar Medical (Xianning) Co., Ltd., Yang Weiwei, International Trade Director (European Market) of Kingsstar Industrial (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., and Zhao Zijing, International Trade Director (US Market) of Kingsstar Industrial (Wuhan) Co., Ltd. served as judges. The judges conducted comprehensive scoring from dimensions including completenessof business plans, creativity and professionalism of booth design, expressiveness of product launches, and negotiation skills and contract negotiation capabilities. After intense competition, three teams stood out, winning the championship, runner-up, and third place in this university competition.
Teams simulated export businesses, completing tasks in business planning, booth design, product launches, and trade negotiations. Judges from academia and industry assessed teams on professionalism, creativity, and negotiation skills.
Top Three Teams:
"This Order Must Be Successful" (Champion): Focused on iFlytek translation devices, demonstrating strong international negotiation skills.
"Five Pots Entering Door" (Runner-up): Used Xiaomi smart healthkettle as case study for "Made-in-China Goes Global" strategy.
"Trade Trailblazers" (Third place): Selected traditional Han embroidery products, promoting Chinese cultural heritage overseas.



The competition enhanced students' practical skills in foreign trade, business negotiations, and international perspective cultivation, supporting new-era foreign trade talent development. The successful hosting of this competition not only enhanced students' professional knowledge application ability, foreign language expression skills, and business negotiation practical level, but also cultivated their international perspective and professional literacy, providing strong support for new-era foreign trade talent cultivation. In the future, Wuhan University will continue to deepen the"competition-promotes-learning, competition-promotes-teaching" business education model, helping more students showcase Chinese youth talent on the international commerce stage.
